Develop skills that you don't have a chance to use at work or wish to develop
to improve your career path by being part of a project team.
All the meetings are held in the evenings or at weekends and you can put as
much or as little in depending on your time and other commitments. Many of
our members play a small role on a number of teams and it is a great way to
develop friendships, business contacts and experience. We run projects
such as:
1. Awards JCI runs multiple awards and your
Edinburgh local chamber are hosting The Outstanding Yound Person Award and
Creative Young Entrepreneur. More details...
2. Community Projects - There are
always opportunities to assist with projects in partnership with our partner
charities. You can get involved by using your professional and personal skills
whilst giving something back to the community.
3. Determined to Succeed - This is a Scottish
Executive funded project to encourage our schoolkids to take a more enterprising
approach in their education. JCI Edinburgh has been partnered with two Edinburgh
secondary schools with our members giving up their time to spend time in the
classroom, sharing their knowledge and experience with young people.
4. Burns Supper - Help organise our annual
gala dinner and training day. This is a great way to meet new people and also
develop event organising experience. There's no need to have any previous
experience.
If you are interested in finding out what's on the go at the moment contact
us at jciedinburgh

involved.
